The 2017 edition of Tremblant’s 24h will remain forever engraved in the history of the event as the one that set new records from every standpoint!

Highest participation yet

A total of 365 teams, accounting for 3,317 participants, gathered at the Marriott roundabout on
Saturday at noon, waiting for the signal to start their event in support of children’s causes. This
was fully 60 teams more than we had in the 2016 edition! This year, 218 teams were formed to
tackle the skiing challenge and 147 others chose the walk and run category.

Donors, more generous than ever

More than $3,868,742 in donations was raised by the teams participating in this year’s 24h, an
increase of 20% over last year. We surpassed our target of $3.25 million by a wide margin
through the generosity of more than 32,000 supporters. The profits will go to Fondation
Charles-Bruneau, the Ottawa Senators Foundation and Fondation Tremblant. Over the past 17
years, over $28 million has been raised by Tremblant’s 24h.
We also decided to branch out into a new area of philanthropy this year: social pediatrics. More
than $125,000 has been earmarked for the creation of a clinic in the Ste-Agathe- des-Monts
region that will help meet the needs of neighbouring communities.

Impressive numbers!

An event that is held over a day and a night is no small feat! Here are a few interesting statistics
pertaining the last edition of the 24h:

24 hours, or 1,140 minutes, of physical exertion
350 volunteers working a total of 700 shifts (THANK YOU!)
More than 18,000 ski runs
48,000 kilometres walked or run… four times the Earth’s diameter!
Thousands of litres of coffee, encouraging words, smiles and lives impacted

Big-hearted artists

The band Simple Plan, just ending a world tour marking the 15 th anniversary of its debut album,
No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, performed in Tremblant and played hit after hit for the ecstatic
audience. Bandmates Pierre, Chuck, Jeff and Séb appeared to enjoy ending their tour in front of
a crowd of fans who’ve been so loyal for more than 15 years.

Mélissa Lavergne and a raft of guest artists who included Florence K and her sisters Éléonore
and Ariane Lagacé, Marc Déry, Ève Landry, Jérôme Couture, Jonny Arsenault, Boogat, Élage
Diouf, Antoine Gratton, Stéphanie Bédard and Pierre Bouvier, set the party tone in the first
half of the concert with high-energy covers of classic 90s domestic and international hits.

Engaged ambassadors

It’s important to mention the amazing work done by our ambassadors, who relayed each other
day and night to cheer on participants, entertain the crowds, spend time with the sponsored
kids, bring the 24h live to their subscribers and so much more. We thank Benoît Gagnon,
Philippe Fehmiu, Anne-Marie Withenshaw, Erik Guay, Alexandre Bilodeau, Alexandre Despatie,
Lianne Laing, Dominic Arpin and Frédéric Plante for doing their part to spread the word about
the event and brighten the experience for all participants.

We thank our partners

This year’s record-breaking total, and indeed the event itself, would never have been
possible without the dedication of our many partners and big donors. Their involvement
clearly shows how important children’s causes are to them. We thank Freedom 55
Financial, Telus, Brookfield, Schneider Electric, Helly Hansen, Kombi, Boréale, Van Houtte, Coca Cola, Air Transat and Adviso.
